Hey, I'm Rob, and I've been curating for as long as I remember.
It started with a stamp book. Then coins. Then I got into design, and that opened the floodgates: side projects collecting business cards, board designs, minimal layouts, anything where someone's taste was the whole point.
The one that really stuck was my love for single-page websites. I launched One Page Love in 2008 and it's pretty much changed my life. Opened doors in my career, taken me around the world.
The deeper thing I keep circling though: why do we collect? I don't fully know. Maybe one day I'll sit down with other curators and we'll dig into it together. Tell me if that's something you'd want to listen to.
My goal for curateDB is simpler than any of that. Help you find and connect with the people whose taste lines up with yours. The internet's drowning in AI-generated noise; human curation is a beautiful thing, and seeing what someone loves enough to dig out and post is one of the few honest signals left.
So when you find a curator you appreciate, support their work. Curation can be a lonely thing at times, and the messages I've received over the years have genuinely kept me going. Hoping this site helps a few more dots connect like that.
Know a human-curated reference gallery that fits the rules? Send it my way.

Outside the rules
Mobbin
Mobbin is a brilliant resource. It just lives outside our rules. curateDB exists to spotlight galleries with a real, visible human behind them, and Mobbin runs as a large, anonymous organisation. Genuinely worth your time, simply a different kind of thing.
